This is a seminar that teaches the massage therapist how to improve their
effectiveness in assessing a patient's neurological and orthopedic status. It
reviews common musculoskeletal conditions and their protocols for treatment.

easily reimbursed by insurance companies, and how to properly refer to other

Muscles, Rehabilitation and Exercise
This is a seminar that teaches the massage therapist how to correctly assess
their patient's flexibility, muscle strength and aerobic conditioning status.
It reviews rehabilitation exercises and teaches the massage therapist how to
correctly progress a patient through the different phases of rehabilitation.
Dr. Koshes will teach you how to develop your own home or office rehabilitation
program using surgical elastic tubing. Covered also in this class will be fluid
replacement guidelines and common exercise protocols.

Modality Certification for the Massage Therapist
This is a seminar that teaches the massage therapist the proper
application of therapy modalities including cryotheraphy, hydrocollation,
paraffin wax, ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation. Each therapy is
carefully dissected, looking at its physiological effects,
indications/contraindications, application and treatment parameters.
An opportunity is offered to achieve a certification status for those
therapists who pass an additional written and laboratory practical examination
with a grade of 80% or better. This can be accomplished by setting up an
appointment at Dr. Koshes' office in Sarasota, Florida to take the additional
testing.
