Have You
Always Wanted to Know About Modalities and How to Use Them?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This seminar is a must for those
Massage Therapists currently employed or considering employment
in a physician’s office or rehabilitation clinic where modality
therapies are used as part of the patient’s prescribed health
care program. In Dr. Koshes’ seminar titled, “Modality Certification
For the Massage Therapist,” he dissects each modality including
understanding the purpose of each modality, physiological effects,
indications, contraindications, application and treatment parameters.
An opportunity is offered to achieve a certification status for
those therapists who pass an additional written and laboratory
practical examination with a grade of 80% or better. This can
be accomplished by setting up an appointment at Dr. Koshes' office
in Sarasota, Florida to take the additional testing.
The modalities covered in Dr. Koshes’ seminar
are cryotherapy, hydrocollation, paraffin wax, ultrasound and
electrical muscle stimulation. Relative contraindications to the
use of any therapy modality are as follows: active hemorrhage,
infection, malignancy, diabetes, pregnancy, a pacemaker, over
the brain or eyes and with active tuberculosis.
For more information on how to use some of the physical therapy
modalities discussed above, contact Dr. Koshes on his website,
