Understand How To Refer Properly To Other Medical Specialists.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A referral of a patient when appropriate
to another medical specialist should be performed following a
certain set of guidelines. In Dr. Koshes’ massage therapy continuing
education course titled, “Clinical Neurology And Orthopedics For
The Massage Therapist,” he reviews ways a Florida State Licensed
Massage Therapist can determine if a patient would need to be
referred outside their office for additional evaluation. He also
covers ways a Massage Therapist can establish a referral network
in their community, the proper way to refer a patient to another
medical specialist and how to communicate effectively to your
patient the referring practitioners recommendations.
In this online course For Massage Therapy you
will be taught that a patient should show at least 50% improvement
with their objective findings within the first 4 weeks of care.
Stay in control of your patient’s care. If the patient’s condition
is not showing improvement, refer the patient for a second medical
opinion.
For additional information on how to refer
properly to other medical specialist, contact Dr. Koshes at his
Florida LMT continuing education website, www.koshes.com. On the
website you will also find additional information on Dr. Koshes’
other online CEU massage therapy classes.
